Even though the Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC) is scheduled to end on December 31, 2021, eligible businesses who have yet to claim the tax credit still have time to do so. While the program only covers employment taxes and employee wages paid through the end of 2021, a business can claim the tax credit by filing an amended payroll tax return before the statute of limitations to do so expires.
